We found out our contractor was operating illegally under some else's license. This plumber required 80% upfront before they would do any work in our house, which our "contractor" gave him, no questions asked. All they have done so far is replace some copper tubing with PEX, and move the water line for our fridge. They refuse to come back to finish, or give us back some of our money, even though we keep telling them we have filed charges against the contractor. This plumber told us "he doesn't like to deal with homeowners because homeowners just don't understand how much stuff costs".
